Getting sick

On Tuesday Febuary 24, 2009 I got up and went to work and I wrote about my last weekend. Zelda my provider came and fed me lunch. It was a nice day. I decided to walked home, and had nap. About 3:45 my Mom came and took me to have a massage. While I was there I was having heart burn and I did nothing about it

I went home and Ann came and fixed me dinner. There was Moscow Bears Basketball game that I was going to. After one bite of dinner I threw up, all over table. Ann got me clean up and laid me down on my right side. It hurt very bad. So Ann called Mom and they took me down to the Emergency Room .

When I first got in there the Dr. put a pill under my tongue to help me to stop throwing up. In fifteen minutes my nerves got all mess up. I was waving my arms and kicking my legs around and knocking my Mom up against the wall. I was saying things I can't remember. I stayed at hospital over night and went home at noon yesterday. I went home and slept.

The reason why I am writing about this is to help people with disabilities, providers and agencies and especially parents . You have to know your clients and your child's medical condition. Medication often have different reactions on people with disabilities. when they test a new drug they do not test it on people with disabilities so you never know what is going to happen. Drugs are helpful but also very dangerous!

What I did over2-20-22-09

Last Thursday night I went to home and had a nap and Ann came and had dinner,. There was a game on I and I asked Ann if she could go home and come back at 10:00PM. She went home and came back and helped me to bed.

On Friday I got up and got ready to go for a walk. I went down to see Irene to see about next week going to Tools for Life ( I am speaking at a conference for transtion). After that I got a hair cut and went home had my monthly meeting. When that was over I had lunch and took a nap and got up and watched T.V. When Ann came I had dinner and went to the mall.

On Saturday I got up and my Mom came got me ready. I went to mall again and got my foster Mom a birthday gift and I brought my real Mom a gift on Friday but I didn't have enough for my foster Mom. That night I went to U of I game and we Won 76-74 .

On Sunday I went to church and went over my Mom and Dad had lunch . I went home and I took a nap and I went to Moms for dinner.

What I did last nigt 2-19-09

I got off at 2:00 P.M. I walked down to Idaho Center on Disabilities and Human and Development. I heard that they were painting their office and I wanted to look at it. They had done a good job, for an old building it look much brighter. Than I walked up to the Court House because I know one of the County Commissioners, but they were in meeting.

When I saw that they were busy I went home and took a nap. Then I got up and I watched T.V. until Ann came. I had a fast dinner because I was going to the mall. When we got ready to go I went out and got in the van and the door on lift was broken. I was very mad because it is like one thing after another breaking down on it..

When I calmed down I went back home and Ann went shopping for groceries and I listen to end of BSU vs U of I game and we won by two 56 to 58.

What II did Last Night 2-17-09

When I got off work yesterday I went up to Family Ccnter to meet with a friend, we try to meet once a week because, I went to a retreat in our church several years ago. After that weekend they like to meet with you to talk how you doing.

After I got done with that I went home and took a nap. Last night Ann she had to moved to a new home, so she called my Mom and asked her if she could work last night. This weekend is Mom's weekend to help me and Ann will work for Mom on Saturday night. So Mom came about 5:00 and took me over her house to have dinner.

After dinner my nephiew Nick had a basketbsll gsme. He plays for Parks and Rec, and for ten years old he is a wonderful basketball player. They play four ten minute quarters and they have a four minute half time. Last night they played to a tie and they had three minutes over time and they lost.

What I did over President's Weekends 2-13,16,09

On Thursday night Ann came and made dinner for me at 5:00 because I had a game with my Uncle Tom at 7:00. The Idaho and Utah State game. I had a provider who wanted to work to take over every other weekend, but her husband got an opportunity to go back to school and get out of the woods (Idaho term for logger). I hate to over use Ann, but I understood why the other person wanted to quit.

I went to the game, Uta State is very good team in fact, they are always hard to beat. We did well but we lost. On Friday I went to mass, and I went for walk and went went home and took a nap and watched t.v. and went out to eat..

On Saturday and Sunday Jacki was with me. She told Ann that she would work this last weekend. I like her so much and she likes me too. She has an eleven year old boy. I feel that God might have something better for her. Ann told me that Jacki will work if someoneis sick.

On Monday My provider took me down Lewiston to watch one of my friend's boy play on the Troy team .

Superbowl Weekend!

I got home from Boise on Friday night about 8:00 p.m. I had something to eat and went right to bed I get very tried when I go to Boise. On Saturday I got up and Zelda came and got me ready and then we went to Bovil to visit some of friends that I grew up with. We came back and stopped at Deary to have a hamburger.

We got home about 2:30 and I took a nap to get ready for U of I game that night. I went to the game and we lost to Nevada. On Sunday I got up and went to church and when I got home I took a nap until Tom came and picked me up. I went over there and he had Joe Traie and their family over to whatch Pittsburgh and Arizona play. As you know Pittsburgh won..

I was happy because I don't like the quarterback Curt Wroner for Arizona. He was in Seattle for years and finaly they got rid of him. If anybody wants to email me back anytime and disagree with me I am will be happy to hear your opinion!

A Report on the Developmental Disabilities Council January 28-30-09

Last week I attended the Idaho Developmental Disabilities Council Meeting that was held at the Hampton Inn in Boise Idaho. On Wednesday 1-28-09 we had a Consumer Leadership Caucus. It is all of the Self-Advocates on Council. They met on Wednesday afternoon. We were asked by Health & Welfare to review and make changes on Guardianship for people with disabilities in Idaho. We reviewed the following: Guardianship for Adults with Developmental Disabilities, Department of Health & Welfare Guardianship Information Brochure, and Alternatives to Guardianship in Idaho.

Thursday 1-29-09. We first met in our committees. I am on two of them, the first one was Education. We discussed how we are going write a paper for parents to help them understand all the different ways students can satisfy the demands for Graduation.

The second committee Government We discussed what we would say to our Idaho Representatives. We all agreed the cut backs are going to hurt children, their parents and all others with disabilities.


On Friday, 1-30-09, We had Mr. Chris Wernert from McCall Idaho. a currently unemployed skier who has joined the Awesome Organization. Their mission is to empower people of all abilities through high quality outdoor experiences. Check out their website.
